52 Weeks of Giving, is about me teaching my boys, Jackson-8 & Ryan-7, it is better to give then receive. I have made a "Giving Jar" filled with 52 RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness). Each week the boys will draw a RAK out of the jar and on it is a task for them to complete. I came up with 52 different "tasks" that I thought the boys would be able to complete with little help from me. I want this to be their project.
For the RAKs I did things from donating a book to the local library to making their great grandmother a card and mailing. I tried to make it all local and cost efficient. I don't want this to be a "chore" for the boys but an opportunity for them to find the real joy in giving.
Each week I will post what RAK we have gotten, take pictures and you can follow us as we deliver the gifts to wherever it goes. I will share all the triumphs and disasters. My hope is that the boys will want this to go on for more than 52 weeks. Please keep our hearts in your prayers and know this is to be done out of love and giving unselfishly.
